I was born in Charleston, SC way back in 1981. My family moved to Greenville when I was a baby. I am a product of Pelham Road Elementary, Greenville Middle School, and Eastside High School (go EAGLES!). I graduated from Winthrop University in 2004 with a BS in Early Childhood Education. (Again--Go EAGLES!). My first teaching job was at Cherrydale Elementary in Second Grade. In 2005, I moved to Rock Hill, South Carolina and taught at a multi-age school for students in DSS custody for 3 years. My oldest son Grayson was born in February of 2008 and was probably one of the best days of my life. During that time, I also obtained my Master's Degree in Technology in Education from Lesley University. Grayson and I happily moved back to Greenville in the summer of 2008. I accepted a kindergarten position at Armstrong Elementary. I taught kindergarten for 3 years and second grade for 4 years. Somewhere is all of those years at Armstrong I got married again to my fantastic husband, Kevin and gained a super cool bonus kid, Cade (who just started driving...Lord Jesus help me!). In 2011, we welcomed our third son, Aubrey Bennett "Ben." So, yes I am well outnumbered by the boys but I wouldn't have it any other way! This past fall I embarked on my next journey as the Technology Integration Specialist at Greenville High School. To say I am excited to be here (finally)is an understatement. I have been training for this for many many years. This has truly been my best year of teaching yet. My passion is still for teaching the kiddos but I get so excited working with teachers everyday. I also enjoy digital scrapbooking, reading, camping, and spending time with all these crazy boys!
